Red Dead Redemption 2 has proven itself immensely popular, yet Rockstar doesn’t appear concerned by this phenomenon.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has long been one of the most beloved video games, yet somehow does not receive as much kudos from those behind its creation as you would expect.
Rockstar Games has done incredible work. Their vast catalog of titles spans Manhunt, Bully and the Grand Theft Auto series itself; yet Red Dead Redemption 2 seems to remain mostly forgotten as attention turns towards GTA VI (for which Red Dead Redemption 2 still seems forgotten). We want this game; let’s be real about this issue now.
Here are a selection of Red Dead Redemption 2’s most entertaining wins and fails below.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has recently broken its all-time concurrent player record on Steam and broken it again since we reported about it – currently, its peak concurrent players stand at 70,914, according to SteamDB data. That is an amazing accomplishment from a single-player game released for almost five years!
PCGamesN recently reported that Red Dead Redemption 2 was one of the four top selling titles on Steam between 17-25 April (excluding free titles like Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 ). Given its impressive sales against more recent and exciting upcoming releases like Resident Evil 4 Remake and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor this is truly astounding!
Last year, Rockstar Games confirmed it’s effectively over with Red Dead Online after fans asked them not to cancel it for good. Many were left confused that such an enjoyable game is already ending after five years while GTA Online remains alive after almost 10 years!
However, as long as development on GTA V continues, Rockstar doesn’t appear likely to alter their priorities; sad yeehaws were heard in the chat room.
