Skyrim Modder adds a sword made of Literal Garlic for your Arsenal
The land of Skyrim has a variety of delicious foods as well as alchemy ingredients.
But, what if you could put the food you find in your mouth instead of stuffing it into your mouth? What if you used them to slice up your enemies, despicable minions, or rude NPCs?
Skyrim modders have created a blade that uses the power and flavour of vegetables to spice up your kills.
Vampires, beware! I’m using pure garlic!
This mod is called ‘Ancestral Garlic Sword’. It is the work modder dbs156. His previous work included adding another unique sword to the game and making shields in its Special Edition to protect against magic.
They’ve used their modding skills to create a unique sabre from iron, garlic, and deathbell roses.
Although this combination of materials might not be as attractive as your favourite ebony or daedric weapons, the garlic blade has some interesting properties. The deathbell poison and garlic set it alight undead, making it a deadly weapon against the living.
You don’t have to think about coming up with a new headcanon to justify adding it to your character’s inventory. The mod’s description features a letter from Greg, the garlic farmer, explaining how the blade got to be in the Elder Scrolls universe.
This letter also describes how to get the sword. 50 pieces of garlic must be sacrificed to a blacksmith’s furnace to make your new stabby friend. It sounds like the most pleasant smithing session you have ever participated in.
The mod was inspired by a New Zealand YouTubers Viva La Dirt League video. You can see it below.
