Today, publisher Slitherine and developer CreativeForge Games announced their partnership to establish a new Warsaw-based studio for development. It is called Slitherine Poland and will be responsible for both licensed and original IP.

They had been working together on the forthcoming real-time tactical game Stargate. Timekeepers, and Roman chariot racing simulator ancient Arenas: Chariots.

Slitherine Poland handles development for both titles. More projects will be announced in the future. Both developers from the studio are employed, as well as new employees. The studio is looking to expand in the next few months.

“Most development efforts of our company are done through third-party partners,” stated Iain McNeil (Slitherine CEO). Opening a new studio for internal development is a significant step towards ensuring we have complete control over critical projects. However, it is also an investment in people and a prosperous country that can deliver high-quality products to a competitive market. ”

“The goal of Slitherine Poland” was stated by Piotr Karbowski (CEO CreativeForge Games). This is a significant step towards increasing the focus of the team on the production of games and delegating all other tasks to Slitherine.

Stargate and Ancient Arenas have not yet been released, but we will hopefully soon hear more.
